#boohooDIY /Impa

Hiya lovelies, I’m finally back ^.^ yay! I ended up banning myself from the internet to try and get my work done, and then at the weekend I ended up having no internet access (argh), so here’s a little DIY post I wanted to get up before, but unfortunately couldn’t until now 🙁
Basically, I got involved with Boohoo‘s DIY project- they sent me out an oversized top, stick on gems, little studs, glitter fabric paints, and some little studs, so this is what I ended up doing with them! Just a quick little tank with the Sheikah Eye symbol from Zelda in the glitter fabric paints. I thought I’d include a  little step by step too, for completeness’ sake, though it’s easy enough!

First off, pick out  a plain t-shirt (oversized if you want!) to cut up- the one I’m using here is this boohoo one.

Next up, take some tailor’s chalk (regular chalk will work fine though, it’s just so you can mark things out without permanently marking the top ^.^ ) and mark out where you want to cut the sleeves (or the length you want if you’re cropping it) so you can make sure things are even before you start merrily chopping away!

Buh-bye sleeves!

Then mark out the design you want on your top in chalk:

Pick out your fabric paints/ studs/ whatever you want….

Remember puffy paints?! I loved these things as a kid, aha. Then you just draw, following your chalk design! I’d recommend holding your arms steady to keep the lines as steady as possible though, I had a few wobbly lines where I tried to rush things… Ah well!

Leave it to dry, (it can take a few hours, depends what kind of fabric paint you’re using) then it’s ready to wear!

Woo!
Hope you guys like this, I know it was pretty simple and crap, maybe I’ll do something a little more ambitious in the future! What about you guys- do you have a favourite go-to DIY project to freshen up your wardrobe, or something you’re particularly proud of? I’d love to know :3
Love!xxx

So cool! I like DIY, it adds a personal touch to an outfit 🙂 I want to get more into it, I made a cute crop top out of a men's shirt recently and I loved it so I have to make more now!
